is there an echo?

Ohhh the questions i am often asked.
hows the married life?
when are you guys planning on having kids?
is the honeymoon phase over yet?
etc. etc. etc.
Well, to answer a few.. married life is everything i could ask for, if not more. Just yesterday i planned my day around CLEANING. It takes me a good half a day to get alll my cleaning done. I often think how people do it with houses bigger than ours! I enjoy it for the most part, i have a process so its not so bad. Andy got off early that day and was planning on going to Grandma & Grandpa Youngs house to paint. But being the thoughtful husband that he is saw that i was doing my weekly cleaning of the house, decided to stay home and help as well. So he did of course all the stuff i dont really love to do (: Which is of course the bathrooms/toilets, and scrub the kitchen tile.
side note: I ONCE AGAIN found myself portraying Monica from friends... I actually hesitated on his help at first, not knowing if he could do it right.. got over that feeling fast though!
Andy and i have had MANY discussions on kids.. We love them, we want them, but not for about four years. I notice since we talked about it the first time the years have gotten smaller, BUT im sticking with f.o.u.r years!
Whats the rush? We got married at a "typically" younger age, why not embrace our marriage with just us two? I have many plans for the two of us! We have the rest of our lives for babies. In the mean time we can spoil the crap out of our adorable neice & nephew! (and puppies of course)
As for the honeymoon phase.. thats just stupid (:
Its Andy we are talking about, who is always romantic & sweet. pshh.
(not sarcasm by the way!)
I am here to answer ALL questions! (: so ask away!

The married life.

This is our new best friend (:
it does all of our communication via bills! My mom & step dad have the same method, and fell in love with it right away! I feel slightly geeky for even posting it but it got me all excited! Its a very simple yet perfect way to control the receipts that come in from our debit card! (and by simple, i mean Andy understands the process! haha.)
Since the wedding, i believe Andy & I have planned four vacations already.. all this year!
  • Nebraska for our little niece/god daughters baptism & and of course the notorious Nebraska college football game!

(side note: my mouth is watering just thinking about going to an amazing little fast food place called: RUNZA! they are so amazing, i NEED to learn how to make them )

  • DISNEYLAND! yes, we are going.. again! For my dads 55Th birthday! there is a lot to celebrate there with him (:
  • I am taking a girls trip to las Vegas! for Halloween, never been for Halloween so I'm stoked!
  • While I'm in Vegas, Andy will be returning to the great state of Nebraska for the weekend, for another game, and to visit his family!

So we have our hands full for a while, I'm thinking we will save up a little more for a one year celebration in July.

on the books!

I consider myself a very lucky person. I was blessed with a mother who is a bookkeeper. She manages money everyday of her life, so it was only natural for her to teach me her ways of spending, saving, etc. So i never once was in a predicament where i was in debt, or struggling for money. I actually have anxiety when i don't have a certain limit in my account (Andy has accepted this issue of mine).
I am in charge of the money in our marriage.. and i think he likes it that way. So the other day my mom came over and uploaded quick books to my computer. She has tried for years to get me started on this but i didn't really see a point at the time just because i knew where all my money goes, and spend only tips for certain things. BUT when Andy and I got hitched (: i thought it was probably best to get on the bandwagon so that i could see where all our money would be going.
SO needless to say, my nerves are at ease and as long as Andy gives me any receipts he may have, life will be good! (:
Once again, reminding my self more and more like Monica from friends. But Andy reminds me a lot like Chandler, SO its perfect!

in the clear!

As most of you may know, i recently got my moles checked out and was told i should have two removed, and tested to be safe. WELL i finally got my results back, and am happy to report that they were proven to be beneign (spl?). Meaning there was no sign of skin cancer. What a relief! Even though i still tanned..a lot...in hawaii (: I do take my beauty marks in consideration now when i know i will be exposed to the sun, so i lather up in some sunscreen!
I am definately ready for some cooler weather now though! Its been over 100 degrees for the past couple days now, and my pups dont like it very much!

wedding blues

I am finding myself with mixed emotions.
I feel like Monica in friends when shes all pissy the day after the wedding because she is no longer a bride, and never will be one again.
I LOVE staring at the wedding photos all day long, and just reminiscing on that wonderful day that was a little over a month ago..but then i get really sad, and just cant believe its all over.
I wouldnt have done anything different, but if i think too much about it i start questioning myself on what else i could have done different!
I am even taking more pictures in my dress before i sell it.. but that also because my intermediate family managed to take ONE PHOTO at the wedding?! thats just crazy.
Every song played during the ceremony brings me right back in that image of the moment before i walked down the isle to see Andy up there standing at the alter.
It was all just such a magical experience, that i want to relive it over and over again.
I STILL record say yes to the dress episodes, and still look at wedding photographer websites.
I think i may have a problem.

Andys 25th Birthday!

The day before Andys birthday we celebrated at my moms house with a little BBQ. Some of his favorites, he played some cards with my step dad and brother while my mom and i did girl stuff.

My mom got him the worlds largest patron bottle of all time.

so my cousin came over and joined him with some birthday shots. My mom took a sip to try it out but cringed, guess she didnt like that too much.

this should last him a few weeks (:

i got him a cheese cake platter because he has picked up a strong liking for cheese cake, and OF COURSE had to remind him that he is turning the big 2.5.!

On his actual birthday i wanted to surprise him with my newly (personally think delicous) cooking skills.. so i had everything prepared and ready to eat right when he got off work.

I made him homemade meatloaf, homemade mashed potatoes (even got to use our new kitchenaid!) asparagus, tossed green salad with all his favorite veggies, and french garlic cheese bread. Brownies for dessert of course!

My FIRST homemade meal that didnt consist of chicken, pasta, or previously made ingredient type food! GO ME!
This wife thing..
Pretty fun. I love having food ready for my hubby when he comes home from a long day at work with a million crazy kids crying and doing god knows what else (:
happy birthday Andy!

My 22nd birthday fun!

My birthday was during our honeymoon. So we decided to go on a sunset dinner cruise that served yummy steak and lobster with mashed potatoes veggies and a complimentary mai tai once we board!
We also bought a bottle of champagne to celebrate my lovely birthday!
before all that Andy woke up before me and went down to get me some yummy raspberry flavor champagne! YUM!
it was my FIRST birthday as a wifey (:

this is my yummy champagne we enjoyed on our balcony!

after dinner on the back of the boat!

we got a window seat so we could see the ocean, hoping to catch some dolphins but no such luck!

Now i dont know if you can tell in these pictures but we were a TAD sunburnt, and i seem to ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS get burnt on my eyelid, which causes it to puff up so that it looks like i have a lazy eye! I dont get it because not only do i lather my face in SPF30 .. i wear SUNGLASSES!
it was a touchy subject that day.. I also got a little sea sick, but we still havnt decided if it was from all the alcohol i had consumed that day, or if it was actually the boat..
other than that, an amazing birthday spent with my hubby.

Honeymoon bound!

Andy and I had an amazing 8 days in Oahu.

We went to Diamond Head beach one day and had a picnic with wine.

Had some fun in the sand <3

went to an awesome Luau!

enjoyed a complimentary bottle of champagne in the hotel room, specially for the newlyweds! (:

AND I EVEN GOT INTO THE WATER!, well the kiddy area.. BUT STILL!

Our view from our hotel.

Andy getting attacked by the waves.

Lovely view of the beautiful Hawii water!

I think honeymoons are a MUST to go on after the wedding! It is the perfect time to just get away and no longer stress about all the planning and money spent on the big day. Its a time to cherish what went on and just spend that time together. There was seriously nothing we had to worry about, all of it was done and taken care of. Ultimate relaxing trip.
I became fond of bloody marys &Andy became fond of eggs benedict!
watch out! us newlyweds are getting CRAZY

the happiest day of my life.

Andy and I got hitched on July 17th, 2010.
I could not have asked for a more perfect day to marry the love of my life.
It was full of such amazing people, great family, personal vows, good music, slight nerves, possible heat wave!, cute children, and awesome photos.
I took in every moment on that day and didnt let anything bother me, and im so glad i did. The day goes by so fast/
Im having technical difficulties with my professional wedding pictures but here are some good candit shots i got from a few people (:

Andy & my new sister-in-law.

The boys with all of our bouqets, they were good sports about it!

A different thing Andy and I did to save time during our reception since we had a time limit we had to end at the end of the night, was we took ALL pictures before hand. After the ceremony it was just Andy and I that went off on our own to take some romantic pictures. This way we had more time to spend with our guests! While we went off to take pictures the bridal party & family went to greet people and enjoy the yummy appetizers and beverages served.
ONCE i figure out how to copy my professional pictures on here i will share with you all more.

I am so lucky to have fallen for my best friend. <3
Beautiful day, it was everything i ever imagined it would be. & the food was great too!

love birds.

We had the sweetest flower girl & ring barrier in our wedding..
Trevor, i believe, fell in love with little Rylee. She is such a sweetie.
She has a little brother his age so she took him right underneath her wing (:

he would finally join in the pictures once she took his hand.

at one point he may have picked a little something off her hand, and kept it as her own.
such a sweet moment.

i could not have asked for a better team (:

the morning of (:

So I was told that I need to get every moment taken on camera the day of the wedding (:

OK, so I was a little overwhelmed! but once i saw Andy down that aisle...everything was just right.

I LOVED my hair. I am so glad i decided not to do an all the way updo.. this is much more me. One of my BFFs/bridesmaid that i went through beauty school with did my hair..

Rehearsal !

Friday, the day before the wedding we had rehearsal up at the beautiful Newcastle Wedding Gardens.
Andy & I up at the alter for the last time as just an engaged couple (:

My beautiful bridesmaids [minus one who couldnt make it that day]

Andy, up at the alter.. already a nervous wreck! (i do that to him!)

The awesome Groomsman who all decided to dress up with a cowboy theme
which is a twisted inside joke that JOE & I had (the best man) since day one of planning this wedding.. he teased me with constant friends (the show) quotes and saying that he is showing up to the wedding in cowboy boots! so, what do they ALL do rehearsal? just that.

our precious little ring barrier & nephew (: Trevor.

Following that night the girls & boys met up for one last time before the wedding for rehearsal dinner at spaghetti factory where there was drinking and celebration. The bridal party opened up their gifts & i threw my bouqet that was made at the bridal shower with all my ribbons & bows from presents!
