Night Road.

My May book was Kristin Hannah's newest BOOK!

This book was really good, there were times I laughed & cried

(sometimes at the same time!)

Its about relationships between friends, family, and lovers.

Very sweet ending (:

I read it in less than TWO weeks! I couldn't put it down!

APRIL showers bring May flowers..

My mom has introduced me to one of her favorite authors..

Kristin Hannah.

This book was SO good, I finished the book before mid April! I am already onto a second book from Kristin Hannah, and

her writing is so different in every book, I love it!

This book was about a bond between these three sisters

who lost their mom when they were all very young.

They're dad was never really the same after their mom passed, so they

were kind of on there own all trying to impress him.

I don't want to spoil anything for whoever has not read this yet

But I strongly suggest buying a copy (:

As spring has come upon us, Andy & I have been working on the backyard & its making amazing progress! his latest project is making a bar top & counter! Pictures to come!

March m a d n e s s (not really)

Andy & I have been out of Internet for a while now, due to

some technical difficulties!

So I am a bit behind on my book updates! but don't worry,

I have kept up with a book a month & my

MARCH book was Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks.

This book was amazing, & a slight thriller.

I didn't think I would like such books with an edge like this,

but I honestly felt like I was watching a movie!

(I LOVE scary movies by the way!)

The beginning started off slow, but once you get past

that ...the ending is intense!

I am so glad I have not stumbled upon a book I've disliked!

Can you hear me now?

Andy & I have finally joined the new technology of the century!
Yes, yes we got the new IPhone.
Verizon finally came out with the newest IPhone, and we coincidentally
had free upgrades!
&Andy is in love, again (:
Its so funny how much he is involved in his phone, because he usually has the most
generic phone there is, and could care less what happens to it.
(I have been a blackberry owner for over 2 years, so i kind of was up with
the new technology (; )So we now have amazing service with amazing phones!
Just thought i would share our excitement (:

My February book!

2 months in! 2 books down!
My mom got me started on this author, Emily Giffin when she bought one of her books
for my bridal shower titled, Something Blue.
(which so cleverly was my bridal shower theme)
So i went out and bought the ANOTHER one from her
& really enjoyed it!

This book doesn't really get you on a deep level or anything
but its always fun to read a little harmless drama to take a break
from reality.
This book is about a girl named Rachel, who is in her best friend,
Darcys summer wedding coming up as the maid of honor.
But one drunken night Rachel wakes up to find herself in bed with
the GROOM!

Condolences

I just want to thank all the amazing people in my life that were able to come to my Fathers Funeral, and/or just share with me their sweet memories they have of him. It was a beautiful service, he was an amazing man. Like i said, in my previous post on it all, I miss him terribly, but the comfort knowing he is no longer in pain, and with God will have to be good enough. I must say that my husband Andy has stepped up to the plate and helped me through this all tremendously. I am so happy he was able to meet, and bond so well with my dad. He loved Andy so much, the moment he met him. (doesn't everyone?) Andy just had a a way with him, even when he was really sick, which always gave me such comfort.

I will forever remember our Last Dance at my wedding Dad.. thank you so much for holding on for that (:

a getaway with my valentine

Andy & I went to Bodega Bay for the day.
The weather was perfect. Our excuse? Valentines day? (:
This is my little mermaid rock ..
My mom told me i loved Arial as a little girl and would sing on our
rock we had in our pool waterfall, & pretend i was her (:
Andy & I drank wine at Sunset on the bay, so romantic, so beautiful

Kind of blurry, but that's us on the deck of
gourmet Au bay. wonderful place!

Wine tasting in Sonoma County, so fun!

I LOVE that we could spend all day everyday just together, and have an amazing time. We don't need other people to fill the silence (: Its such an amazing feeling to have this with him. Best Valentines day yet ..

January 20th, 2010.

My dad was a wonderful man. Always patient and loving with his family, and would do anything for any of us. He had a happy go lucky personality and even stayed positive throughout most of his treatments. He had a "can do" attitude and was determined to beat his cancer.

Unfortunatly towards the end of his life he wasn’t really himself. He was very aggitated and had lost a lot of that fighting spirit that I always knew him to have, and it was difficult at times to look past his surface to remember the person he really was deep down. I had to intentionally recall so many wonderful memories with him in order to remind myself of who he really was and not what his illness had turned him into. The experience brought me so much closer to him because it felt as though I had the opportunity to live those memories all over again and it was a true healing gift from above.

There’s an Alan Jackson song that says, "Its not what you take when you leave this world behind you, its what you leave behind you when you go". My dad left behind his legacy. His family & friends, and his children. Inside each of us are the things he taught us, his kindness, his humor and the memories that we will protect and hold in our hearts forever. I grew up a little more throughout my dad's illness. Experiencing uncomfortable situations I didn't think I could handle, and learning to love a little deeper. It changed me in a good way and will remain a part of who I am forever. A part of him lives inside each of us, and we will hopefully pass those qualities on to our own children so that his legacy continues.

I miss my dad, and I always will. He left this world too soon. But I find comfort in the knowledege that he knew God, and he is with Him in His house today. No more hospitals, shots or treatments. So when I cry, it's really for myself and my own loss, because where he is cannot compare to our world. My prayer is that he stepped out of his hospital bed and into the arms of his Maker and heard the words "well done my good and faithful servant"

I LOVE YOU DAD.

January Book

One of my new year resolutions is to read 1 book a month.
The first book I decided to read is The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks. This book was SO good. (I'm actually surprised its not a movie yet)
I have also read The notebook, and A walk to Remember
by Nicholas Sparks as well.
(which of course are also on the big screen)
I don't wanna give away the book for those of you who may read it
(which i strongly advise you to!)
But its about a struggling marriage between a husband and wife.
Things slowly turn around for the two of them when they begin to
plan a wedding for their daughter.
Such a wonderful book.
Now onto my next book for the month of
February.

New years Resolution[s]

I have a few Resolutions for this year.
Being as half of 2010 was devoted to
wedding,wedding,wedding!
This year, I'm excited with all i can do! (:
1. Find a career/job i will love&enjoy!
2. If #1 isn't full filled, go back to school.
3. Learn & cook a new recipe for my hubby
at least once a month.
4. Get back into reading.
Read 1 book a month.
(Andy's Resolution is to start his own business. Which consists of
building [sheds, dog/doll houses, sleighs (like he did for me), wine shelves,
kid cubbies, kids outdoor toys, etc. And
he would most likely start off with trying to sell in a garage sale type atmosphere
and then if it goes well, possibly start a website on it)
If you have any other ideas on what he could build that people would enjoy let us know!
